Is AI Good for Business?

I remember the early days of internet making its’ way into every household. I remember the excitement of the crazy dial up sound a modem made every time you wanted to hop online. The exciting interface of AOL and the enthusiastic proclamation of “ Welcome, You’ve Got Mail”. I was looking forward to that shit everyday while I was in school. Couldn’t wait to get home and hear it.

I remember the first time iPhone came out and if you were in NYC, that was a sight to behold. Lines around the block, white headphones popping out in the crowded subway platforms…So much fun!

This year I am blessed to witness another exciting revolution - AI, becoming mainstream.

Whether you hate it, love it, skeptical of it or straight up afraid the one thing you cannot do, is deny that it isn’t here.

Sure, it is a bubble. It needs time to implode, mature, be rebuilt and designed better but it is here.

Every day, it seems like there's a new AI solution hitting the market, and it's no wonder the global AI market is projected to reach half a billion dollars in 2023! AI has already proven its diverse capabilities in assisting businesses with future forecasting, enhancing cybersecurity, and automating repetitive tasks, to name just a few examples.

As a matter of fact, 84% of business leaders believe that AI will help them obtain and maintain a competitive advantage in the future. And it's not just big businesses that can benefit. Startups and small businesses can leverage AI tools to help them scale without needing to add more staff. Having our little ChatGPT buddy has been a blessing within our own team. Like a trusted assistant, he is always here, on time, ready to help us. Although sometimes, he ghosts us, but that is just some personal issue he is working through. For the most part he is readily available to rock n roll.

With its endless applications and rapid growth, AI is undoubtedly the future of business. Almost every company will need to implement it in a few years to stay competitive, so it’s wise to stay ahead of the curve and start using AI now. The debate is already here. Will it replace us? Will it kill us? No. It will only replace you if you foolishly avoid it. But if you harness its powers now, you can become unstoppable. Think of your self as Tony Stark, and AI being the Iron Man suit. Without the suit you are still fkn Tony Stark, but with the suit…well c’mon now.

Instead of viewing AI as a threat, it’s more productive for businesses and freelancers to view it as a way to enhance what they already do.

Today, many organizations use AI systems in their business processes, from providing e-commerce product recommendations to identifying fraud in the financial industry. And while some people fear that AI will replace their jobs, the evidence shows that AI will also create new jobs that we haven't even imagined yet.

So, here are five reliable ways to start scaling your business with the help of AI:

  1. Use AI to better understand your target audience. By processing massive amounts of data in seconds, you can gain valuable insights into your buyer personas to guide your business decisions.

  2. Use process automation on repetitive tasks. By automating your workflows, you'll be able to streamline your processes, free up time for your staff, and focus on more important tasks.

  3. Use AI for future forecasting. With its capability to process complex datasets 24/7, you can use big data to aid in future decision-making.

  4.  Use AI for copywriting and content creation. With the help of AI tools, freelancers can enhance their writing skills, brainstorm ideas, get rid of writer's block, and proofread their work on the fly.

  5. Use AI to enhance the customer experience. By analyzing customer data and feedback, you can create personalized recommendations and improve the overall customer experience.

AI is not something to be feared but embraced as a way to enhance what we already do. By implementing AI in the right way, businesses  can stay ahead of the curve and gain a competitive advantage in the future. Don’t make it out to be a supervillain quite yet. Use responsibly, educate yourself on what it truly is but do not be afraid.
