Bulgari is widely regarded as one of the most important women in jewelry of our time. Her adventurous and ambitious spirit led her to leave her family’s famed Maison in 1976 in order to launch Marina B.

Determined and able to make her own name whilst honoring her family’s nurtured passion and talented heritage, Marina’s unique style became world-renown for its boldness and timelessness. Rich and opulent yet so very contemporary, Marina invented her own gemstone cuts in addition to reinventing many others.

She successfully opened her first showroom in Geneva in 1978, which led to boutiques in Milan, Paris and New York and a worldwide clientele. Marina B’s modern vision and creative excellence inspired a first generation of women purchasing jewels for themselves. In its present day, Guy Bedarida brings the brand into the right now, with beautifully fitting collections that continue to embrace Marina’s innovative aesthetic.

The Challenge

BeCurious team was tasked with design and development of the first ever e-commerce space for this iconic brand. The challenge was to recreate a high end environment that Marina B has been striving in since its origins. To be able to take their brand look and feel and deliver it digitally, transforming a visitor from a computer screen into a virutal journey of style and class that Bulgari has been delivering for decades. During an intense 3 months sprint we have examined, studied, and traced the history of the brand. We learned what makes this company and product so unique and desired by the elites of the global stage, from Hollywood key figures to royalty.

Strategy

Client initially reached out to us via a referral from previous work we have done with Louis Vuitton. The request required to answer pretty ambitious deadlines, aggressive planning and execution.Through series of initial discovery meetings we were able to quickly establish the success metrics, the timelines and scheduling for delivery of the project.

Creative Process

Their unique brand styleguides of collage like cuts and pastes, inspired us to create a scrollable timeline and content delivery platform. Almost like a scrapbook of ideas, thoughts and processes, that most jewelry makers rely on, during their creative processes.

Results

Both teams of BeCurious & MarinaB liked working together so much, that we have decided to extend our initial scope of work into ongoing relationship by expanding work efforts to go into SEO, Marketing & Maintenance. So our next phase is to start a 4 months engagement of marketing efforts and SEO. We have created a marketing strategy that will meet an ambitious goal of generating steady revenues within first year.To achieve that we have set forth an aggressive marketing, SEO, PPC, Social Media plans that will require a dedicated team, that has been allocated from our end. As well as, constant monitoring, analytics audits, and social campaigns exectution.
